Purple is what people pick when they've already got a barn full of black and red. On a yard where three or four households share the same buildings, a distinct colour is the cheapest labelling system there is, and it works from across the alley. Everything else about it is standard flex tub. It's moulded in one piece with grips formed into both sides, so there's nothing to rivet, rust or come apart. The sidewalls give under load, which is what lets it survive being stepped on, dropped off a truck deck, or left out with water in it through a hard freeze. Come morning you roll it, press the side with a boot, and the ice lets go. It works as a feed pan, a soaking tub, a wash bucket, a carry-all for fencing pliers and staples, or a nest for a grooming kit. Cheap enough that most people end up with one in every building.
