Black is the workhorse of the flex tub line. It doesn't show manure stains, grain dust or the grey film hard water leaves behind, so it still looks like a tool after a season instead of a faded toy. The point of a flex tub is that it gives. Drop a rigid pail on frozen ground at thirty below and you get a crack; a flexible tub deforms and comes back. That same flex is how you get ice out — set it on its side, put a boot on the rim, and the plug releases instead of needing a hammer. The grips moulded into either side let you carry it two-handed when it's full and heavy. Around the yard it ends up doing everything: soaking beet pulp, mixing supplements, carrying brushes out to the tie rail, hauling a load of scraps to the chickens. It won't rust and it doesn't much care about sun or cold. Buy one and you'll be back for four more.
