Five gallons of water hung flat against a wall. This is the bucket for animals that drink hard, or for a stall where you do not want to be filling twice a night. At roughly fifteen inches across and eleven inches deep it is a lot of bucket, and it deserves to be treated that way. A full one weighs well north of forty pounds, so hang it on something solid and at a height you can lift to. The flat back keeps that weight tight against the wall or panel rather than swinging out on the hanger, which matters a great deal more at five gallons than it does at two. Black is the choice for a pail that lives inside and gets used hard. It hides staining and does not show the marks a five-gallon bucket picks up when it does duty for water, feed, tools and everything else. Through winter, plan on this one freezing solid if it stays outside overnight. Dump it before you fill it.
