Details
Two gallons, flat on one side, and a hanger point that keeps it tight to the wall. That is a stall bucket. The flat back stops the swinging and rubbing that shortens the life of a round pail hung the same way, and it closes off the gap behind the bucket that horses have a talent for getting into. Eight quarts fills quickly, empties easily and does not weigh so much that you dread carrying a pair down the alley. Eleven inches across the top gives you room to get a hand and a brush into the bottom corners, which is where a water bucket actually needs the attention. Yellow reads clearly in low light, and barns are dark for a lot of the year here. When you are doing last check at nine at night in December, a bright bucket you can see from the doorway saves you walking into every stall to find out whether the water is still there.
