Tuff Stuff Flat Back Bucket 8 qts (Black)
Eight-quart flat back bucket with a flat side that sits tight against a wall, panel or fence rail rather than swinging free.
Details
The flat back is what you are paying for. A round bucket hung on a wall swings, turns and spills, and a horse can get a leg or a halter clip behind it. This one sits flush against whatever it is hung on and stays put. Eight quarts is two gallons, which is a sensible amount for a stall water bucket, a grain feed hung at the front of a pen, or water in a run for a smaller animal. At eleven inches across and eight inches deep it is easy to get a hand and a brush right into for cleaning, which a taller narrow pail is not. Black wears well. It does not stain, it does not show the green film that a pale bucket does, and it looks the same after a couple of seasons in a barn. If you hang buckets outside, remember that in this climate a full two-gallon bucket freezes right through overnight. Empty them at night through the cold months or plan on chipping ice every morning.
