Tuff Stuff feed pan 7 Qts (Lime)
Lime seven-quart feed pan, the standard daily size, in a colour that stays visible in a snowy or muddy pen.
Details
Seven quarts is the workhorse size. It takes a full grain feed for a single horse or a calf without crowding, and it is light enough that you can carry a pair of them and still get a gate open. The colour is not just for looks. Pans fed in outdoor pens end up moved, buried and forgotten, and a dark pan under six inches of snow is gone until spring. Lime holds up against everything a western Canadian winter puts in front of it: white snow, brown grass, grey mud. You can count your pans from the tractor without getting out of the cab. The pan itself is straightforward. One moulded piece, no hardware, enough flex that a frozen bottom turns out instead of needing a chisel, and a shallow shape that lets an animal eat with its nose flat rather than digging into a bucket. Rinse them when you do buckets and stack them upside down out of the weather.
