Nothing complicated here. It is a plastic scoop with the sides closed in so feed does not run off the edges between the bin and the pan, and a square front that gets into the bottom corner of a barrel. Light is the underrated part. A full scoop of pellets is not heavy, but you lift it a lot, and a plastic scoop weighs a fraction of a metal one. It also does not sting your hand at minus twenty the way a cold metal handle does, and it will not corrode sitting in a bin of salted mineral. Pink is loud on purpose. Scoops disappear. They get set down on a bale, dropped in a bin, or borrowed and not returned. A colour nobody else in the barn is using is the simplest way to keep track of yours, and it is easy to see when it has slid down under the grain.
