Feeding a prod handle fresh alkaline C cells every few weeks adds up over a season, and it always seems to run out on the day the batteries are back at the house. This is the rechargeable answer to that. The stick is item PSTKR12C. It drops into the battery chamber of the 200PP power pack handle in place of the disposable cells, and the maker rates it at 300 to 500 charge cycles, which they equate to roughly a thousand alkaline batteries over its life. A 12 volt charger comes with it, so it charges from a vehicle battery. Charge it before first use, then put it in the handle and work as normal. Recharge it before it is completely flat where you can, keep the contacts clean and dry, and store it somewhere that does not freeze hard or bake. The instruction sheet covers charging times and is worth reading once rather than guessing.
