Details
Half the year in Alberta it is too cold to hose a horse down, and stains do not wait for spring. A horse that has slept in manure comes out of the stall with a yellow patch on one hip and nothing but a stiff brush to fix it. Easy-Out is a no-rinse shampoo and odour neutraliser that works dry. It is formulated to lift dirt, stains and odour to the surface of the hair rather than driving them deeper, and the maker lists manure, urine, grass, sweat and mud as the marks it is aimed at. The quart bottle comes fitted with a spray top, and it can be used on dogs as well as horses. Spray it onto the marked area, work it through the hair, then wipe or curry the loosened dirt away. Nothing gets rinsed, so there is no wet horse to dry and no waiting for a warm day. Set-in stains may want a second pass. Store it somewhere it will not freeze and shake the bottle before use.
