A no-rinse shampoo for the days a bath is not on the table. Shapley's makes it to lift stains, dirt and dust out of a coat, mane or tail without getting the horse wet, bringing the dirt to the surface where a towel takes it away. Apply it to the stained area, give it a minute to work, then wipe it out with a clean towel, turning to a fresh part of the cloth as you go rather than dragging the same dirty patch around. On a mane or tail, wet the hair with the product, wait, then towel gently instead of scrubbing. Shapley's makes it silicone-free, which is why it can go on the saddle area and on hair you intend to band or braid. Slippery products in either of those places cause problems you do not need. For most of the year in this country a proper wash is not practical. From October through to May, a spray bottle and a towel are how a stained hip or a green tail gets sorted before a sale, a clinic or a photograph. Keep the bottle somewhere it will not freeze.
