Rescue! fly big bag traps disposable (12 traps)
Case of 12 large-capacity fly bag traps — same idea as the standard bag, with far more room before it needs replacing.
Details
Twelve large-capacity fly bag traps. The mechanism is identical to the standard disposable bag — dry attractant activated with water, flies in the top, no way out — but the bag itself holds a great deal more, so it runs much longer before it needs to come down. On a yard where the standard bags fill in a week, these are the honest answer. The trade-off is size and smell. A big bag full of flies and warm attractant is heavy, it is conspicuous, and it is worse to be near than a small one. Hang it somewhere you can get a stepladder to, on something that will take the weight when it is full of water and catch, well downwind of doors and windows and away from where people sit or eat. These make the most sense in genuinely heavy pressure: around a feedlot pen, a calving barn in a wet spring, a kennel, or a yard next to a manure pile you cannot move. In light fly years a big bag is overkill and you will pay for capacity you never use. As with any trap, this catches adults and does not touch breeding sites. Dry up the wet spots, clean up spilled feed and keep manure away from the buildings, and the traps will look like they are working much better than they did before. Store unopened traps cool and dry; activate only as you hang them.
