This is a season's supply for an operation running several traps and servicing them properly rather than hanging one in June and forgetting it. The attractant is yellowjacket-selective, so you are not pulling in honeybees, and there is no insecticide in it — the trap and water do the killing. Swap the cartridge each time you empty a trap, roughly every two weeks in warm weather and more often in full sun or heavy pressure. A trap with a spent cartridge still looks like it is doing something while catching nothing, which is how people end up believing traps do not work. Get them out early. Trapping spring queens prevents colonies; trapping August workers only thins one that already exists. If you can only be organized once a year, be organized in April and May. Store the unopened packs sealed in a cool, dry place — a shop shelf out of the sun, not a truck dash. Once opened, a pack is releasing attractant whether it is hung or not, so open one per trap as you service it.
