Voltage drop over distance is what quietly ruins a long fence. Plain stainless conductor is fine for a hundred metres and poor at two thousand, and by the time stock start walking through the far corner the fault is a kilometre of conductor, not one bad insulator. TopLine Plus is 6 mm rope built around six TriCOND conductors of 0.30 mm, giving 0.311 ohms per metre. That is roughly a fifth the resistance of comparable stainless conductors of similar thickness, which is the difference between a far corner that still reads useful volts and one that does not. Breaking load is around 400 kg and the roll is 400 m, in white and red so it shows against both snow and summer grass. Six millimetre rope suits posts at roughly 8 to 12 m on a straight run, closer through dips and rises where the line wants to lift. Run it through pinlock or ring insulators on the straight and take strain on proper corner and end fittings. Joins are where the conductivity gets thrown away. Do not knot it. Use stainless Litzclip rope connectors so every conductor is clamped to the same metal, and bring the energiser lead onto the rope through a proper connector rather than a twist. One bad knot in a long run can cost more voltage than the entire length of rope.
