CORRAL Replacement for Super Big Reel
Replacement spool for the CORRAL Super Big Reel, letting one frame carry several conductor types without rewinding.
Details
There are two reasons to own a spare drum. The first is breakage. A reel that lives on a quad rack, gets dropped on frozen ground and left out in the sun eventually gives up, and replacing the spool is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole reel. The second reason is the better one. Keep a loaded drum for each job and you stop unwinding one conductor to make room for another. One spool of polywire for strip grazing, another with rope for the horse paddock, and you swap them on the same frame in under a minute instead of spending an evening rewinding. The Super Big Reel drum takes a lot of line. The reel is rated for around 2,000 m of 3 mm wire, 1,000 m of 6 mm rope or 1,200 m of 10 mm tape. A full drum is heavy, so mind it on the way down off a post. Store loaded spools out of direct sun and off the shop floor, and label them so you know what is on each one before you walk out to the fence.
