The duo chargers run either off a 12 volt deep cycle battery or off 110 volt house power through an adapter. If the adapter is the part that failed, the energizer itself is usually fine. The unit is still good, it just has nothing to run on. Adapters take a beating on a farm. They sit in a shed with dust and mice, they get pulled out by the cord, and they see the same voltage sags and surges as everything else on a rural service. Swapping one is far cheaper and faster than replacing an energizer that works. Match the adapter to your charger before you order, because the duo range takes different supplies depending on model. When it goes back in, run the cord where it will not get chewed or walked on, keep the energizer under cover, and take the chance to check your ground rods while you are at it. A weak fence blamed on a charger is very often a grounding problem instead.
