Three hundred metres, close to 984 ft, is a reel-sized roll. It fits a standard fence reel without repacking and covers a good sized temporary paddock or one side of a permanent line, which makes it the roll most people reach for first. What separates PlatinumLine from ordinary polywire is resistance. At 0.06 ohms per metre it carries the pulse a long way with very little loss, so a modest energizer can still put a respectable reading on the far end. On a short paddock that is headroom. On a long one it is the whole difference. The 3 mm strand is heavy enough to tension without cutting into insulators, and white with blue reads well in snow and in standing grass. Keep the roll out of the sun when it is not on the fence, use connectors rather than knots at joins, and check the tension after the first real temperature swing. Everything moves in the first month.
