CORRAL flexigate rope 7.5m
A self-retracting rope gate that stretches to 7.5 m, about 24 feet, and reels itself back up the moment you unhook it.
Details
The Flexigate solves the thing everybody hates about electric gates, which is the slack. A conventional handle-and-line gate, once unhooked, is a length of rope lying in the mud waiting to be driven over, tripped on or chewed. This one reels itself up on a steel spring as soon as it comes off the hook. This is the rope version, expandable to 7.5 m or roughly 24 feet 7 inches, which covers most machinery-width openings between pasture cells. The unit mounts directly to a wooden post with the two wood screws included, so installation is a five-minute job with a driver and there is no additional hardware to source. Because the rope stays under spring tension when closed, the gate stays taut and stays clean, and the electrical contact holds end to end rather than sagging into the grass and grounding out. Rope is the right choice over tape where wind is an issue or where horses are involved. Mount it on a solid post rather than a t-post. The spring pulls constantly, and it will slowly lean anything that was not properly set.
