This is the connection lead with the sprung heart-shaped clip on it, the one you can put on and take off without tools. At 125 cm, roughly 4 feet 1 inch, it is long enough to reach from an energizer to a fence line or a ground rod without stretching anything. The clip is what makes it useful. A bolted eyelet is the right answer for a permanent installation, but a lot of fence work is not permanent. A temporary paddock division fed off the main line, an energizer moved between two sites through the season, a jumper thrown across a section while you chase down a fault. For all of those, a clip that grips a tape or a wire and comes off in a second is worth more than a tidier joint. It is high-voltage fence cable, which is the part that matters, since the insulation is rated for the pulse an energizer puts out. Just be aware that clipped connections work loose faster than bolted ones. Wind, frost heave and animals bumping the line all move things around, so if a clipped connection is going to live outside for a season, check it when you are past that way.
