Anyone who has strung fence off a bare spool knows the problem. You get a finger through the middle of the roll, it binds, it spins, it kicks off a snarl of wire, and you spend the next ten minutes untangling instead of fencing. This set gives the spool a proper handle and an axle to turn on. CORRAL lists these as aids for easy and safe unrolling of poly wire and poly tapes, suitable for all spool sizes, so one set covers whatever is in the shed rather than being tied to one particular roll. They come off and go onto the next spool when the first one runs out. For anybody doing rotational grazing this is a small thing that changes the day. Setting a new strip goes from a two-person job to a one-person job, because you can walk the line paying out wire with one hand and set a tread-in post with the other. It also saves the wire itself. Most polywire damage happens as kinks pulled in during a bad unroll, and every kink is a broken conductor waiting to happen.
