The 500 m roll is the reason to buy this one. At roughly 1,640 feet you can run a full temporary line down a quarter section, or set up several paddock divisions off a single roll, without a splice in the middle. Every splice in a polywire fence is a place voltage leaks out and a place that eventually pulls apart, so fewer is better. This is the Classic grade of the CORRAL polywire range, in white. White is the right choice for green pasture and for anywhere people are walking through, since it is the colour a horse and a person both pick up easiest against grass. Worth remembering that a white line goes close to invisible against a snow-covered field, so it is a summer colour more than a winter one. Feed it off a reel when you set it and wind it back onto the reel when you pull it. That habit alone decides whether a roll lasts one season or five. If you do have to join two lengths, use a proper wire connector rather than tying a knot. A knot is a resistance point, and on a run this long you cannot afford many of those.
