There is a real difference between a rope you put up for a season and a rope you expect to still be working in five years. This is the Classic grade of the CORRAL rope line, 6 mm on a 200 m roll, about a quarter inch by 656 feet, and it is aimed at permanent and semi-permanent runs rather than temporary strip fence. Horse people tend to end up on rope for good reasons. It has no sharp edges, it does not slap and drum in the wind the way a wide tape does, and a horse that hits it gets a rope burn at worst rather than a cut. White keeps it visible without being loud, which matters on a yard fence you are looking at every day. Set it on rope insulators, not tape insulators. Anchor the ends properly at corners and put an in-line tensioner in each long stretch, which is not optional on a run this length. Temperature swings between minus thirty and plus thirty move a line a long way, frost lifts posts, and a horse reaching over a fence for grass on the other side will find every inch of slack you left it.
