Roundup Concentrate Non-Selective Herbicide is a glyphosate concentrate that you mix with water before spraying. It is registered with Health Canada by Bayer CropScience Inc. under PCP Reg. No. 22627 as a DOMESTIC product, and the label guarantee is glyphosate 143 g/L (present as isopropylamine salt). The label lists 500 mL, 1 L and 2 L containers; this listing is the 1 L bottle, which the label says "TREATS 400 SQUARE METRES". What the label covers: "Undesirable vegetation control (i.e. hard to mow areas, around buildings). Lawn trimming/edging, patio weed control, vacant lots, storage & recreational areas, driveways." It lists "Most annual and perennial grasses and weeds, such as quackgrass, chickweed, ragweed, knotweed, poison ivy, Canada thistle, milkweed, bindweed", and has further directions for spraying around trees, shrubs and ornamentals ("Apply around base in a neat fashion. Avoid spray or drift contact with foliage, stems or green bark of desirable plants."), for lawn and garden renovation, and for brush ("Most brush such as Poplar, Alder, Maple and Raspberry"). It is non-selective, so it is not a lawn weed killer for turf you want to keep: "Avoid spray contact on desirable plants as any plant contacted may be killed." How to mix and apply, from the label: "Mix 100 mL of product in 2 L of clean water (1 part Roundup, 20 parts water)." Then "Apply prepared solution over equivalent of 40 square metres" and "Ensure uniform and complete spray coverage but not to the point of run-off." "Mix only enough spray solution to treat intended area. Rinse sprayer thoroughly after each use. Do not store spray mixture in sprayer for prolonged periods. Do not use hose-end sprayers." "Glyphosate is not to be applied using hand-wicking or hand-daubing methods." Timing: "Apply to vigorously growing plants. Apply to annual weeds anytime after emergence. For perennial weeds apply after seed heads, flowers or berries appear." Rain: "Rain or watering two hours after application will not wash away effectiveness." and "Do not apply if rainfall is forecast for the time of application." Replanting: "Allow at least 3 days after treatment before disturbing the soil and/or replanting." Precautions, as printed: "CAUTION: EYE IRRITANT. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Avoid contact with eyes or prolonged contact with skin. Do not allow others such as children and pets on treatment areas during application or to re-enter treated areas until spray has dried. Wash immediately after using this product. Do not contaminate water, foodstuffs, seed or feed by storage or disposal." The label's first-aid section covers skin, swallowing and eye contact and says to "Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention." Disposal: "Dispose of emptied container with household garbage. Do not reuse container."
