Roundup Advanced Ready-To-Use Grass and Weed Control with Pump 'N Go 5 L is a ready-to-use spray: the label says "No dilution or mixing is required." It is registered with Health Canada by Bayer CropScience Inc. under PCP Reg. No. 33398 as a DOMESTIC product, and its active ingredient is acetic acid, 62.5 g/L. It contains no glyphosate. The label covers containers from 1 L to 6 L; this listing is the 5 L pump bottle with an extendable wand. What the label covers: "For non-selective control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in and around the garden." The label lists use "in and around the garden, on patios, sidewalks, driveways, under fences and around established trees and shrubs" and adds: "Use to edge along driveways, sidewalks and to control weeds in gravel and mulch." Directions from the label: "For best results apply in sunny warm weather to actively growing young weeds less than 10 cm tall." The label also notes: "Only contacted vegetation will be affected." and "Retreatment of large weeds and regrowth of perennial weeds will be required." For the perennial weeds it names (dandelion, plantain, wild carrot and quackgrass) the label speaks of topgrowth control. Using the sprayer, per the label: "Pump container 25-30 times to pressurize bottle." "Spray weeds until thoroughly wet." After use: "Push pump handle all the way down and turn pump handle and cap counter-clockwise to relieve pressure, then retighten to store." Rain and re-entry: "Rainfall or watering within 1 hour of application will reduce degree of control." "Do not re-enter or allow entry into the treated area until dry." It is non-selective, so keep it off plants you want to keep: "Avoid all contact to desirable plants. Overspray or drift will injure contacted foliage." The label also says to avoid application to reactive metals such as aluminum, tin and iron, and to items such as fencing or lawn furniture, to prevent staining or mottling of finished metal surfaces. The label carries the signal words WARNING, CORROSIVE and EYE IRRITANT, and says: "Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing." First aid, precautions and disposal directions are printed on the label; disposal begins "DO NOT reuse the empty containers."
