A drencher that has gone off dose usually has not broken, it has worn. The seals compress, the valves stop seating cleanly, and the cylinder picks up a scratch from something that got past a rinse. It happens gradually enough that nobody notices until a dose check comes up short. This is the major kit for the 12.5 mL multidoser drencher, the bottle-mount model that runs off 500 mL and 750 mL bottles with no feed tube. Major means it includes a replacement cylinder along with the washers, seals and valve components, where a minor kit covers the soft parts only. If the bore of your cylinder is marked, or the gun leaks past the piston no matter how many seals you fit, this is the kit you want. Fitment is model-specific and this is where people go wrong. It is built for the 12.5 mL multidoser and will not serve a 20 mL or 30 mL metal drencher, nor the tube-fed 12.5 mL drencher/injector, all of which take their own kits. Check the model marking on your gun before ordering rather than after. Once it is rebuilt, treat it properly and the kit will last. Flush with warm soapy water and rinse clean after every use, then dip the tapered end of the push rod and piston into applicator lubricant and work the lever a few times to draw it up into the cylinder. That step decides whether the next rebuild is in five years or next season.
