Tube-fed applicators draw from a pack on your back rather than a bottle screwed to the gun, and this is the pack. Two and a half litres is the small, manoeuvrable size: light enough that you are not fighting it in a crowded alley, and enough capacity that you are not refilling every few head. It comes with the strap and cap. The advantage over a bottle mount is balance and reach. There is no weight swinging off the end of the applicator, so the gun stays light and controllable, and you can work down a race or through a chute without the container catching on the rails. The trade is the feed tube, which has to be routed so it does not kink or get stood on. Rinse the pack out at the end of every session, the same as you would the applicator, and hang it to dry with the cap off rather than sealing damp residue inside. In cold weather bring it into the shop overnight; a pack left in a truck box at minus thirty is stiff and unhelpful the next morning. What goes in it is between you, the product label and your veterinarian.
