Twenty cc with a push-on tip is a deliberate choice rather than a default one. It is the right tool when the product flows easily and the animals are healthy and moving through steadily, because the needle goes on and off without a thought and the run keeps its rhythm. The tip is a plain tapered luer slip. There is no locking collar, so the needle is held by friction alone. Anyone running a viscous product, or working with sick animals where a dislodged needle is more than an inconvenience, should be looking at the 20 cc luer lock instead. The barrel is polypropylene with prominent moulded graduations and ISO-standard dose volume accuracy, supplied ethylene oxide sterile in tamper-evident packaging. Fifty to a box, reflecting the bulk of the larger barrel. Use one per animal and dispose of it in a sharps container. There is nothing to strip, clean or keep.
