Most operations end up owning two sizes of small syringe, and 6 cc is the second one. It covers the volumes that overrun a 3 cc without forcing you onto a barrel so wide that a small measure sits right down at the bottom of the scale, where it is hardest to read accurately. The tip is a luer lock, meaning the needle hub screws down onto a threaded collar rather than pushing on. Thicker products need pressure to move, and pressure is exactly what pops a friction-fit needle off. Locking it takes that possibility off the table. Construction is polypropylene with clear moulded graduations and dose volume accuracy held to the ISO standard. They arrive ethylene oxide sterilised in tamper-evident packs, a hundred per box, which is a realistic quantity for anyone processing more than a handful of animals at a time. Single use, then disposal in a sharps container. Nothing about them is serviceable and nothing needs to be. What goes in the barrel, and how much, is a conversation for your veterinarian and the product label.
