Sixty cc is the top of the range and it behaves differently to everything below it. The plunger is long, the leverage is awkward, and you are usually bracing the syringe against your other hand to get it moving. Anything that can come loose under that will. The luer lock tip is the reason to reach for this version rather than the slip. The needle hub threads into a locking collar, so all of that push goes through the needle instead of into unseating it. With thick or cold product in a wide barrel, that is the whole of the argument. The syringe is polypropylene with prominent moulded graduations and ISO-standard dose volume accuracy, ethylene oxide sterilised and sealed. Twenty-five to a box, which is the usual count at this size, since the barrels take up considerably more room than a 3 cc. They are consumables, meant to be discarded after a single animal. If you also need to flush or dose orally at this volume, look at the 60 cc catheter tip version instead, as that one takes tubing rather than a needle. What goes in either is between you and your veterinarian.
