Pour-on work punishes a hand. It is the same squeeze a few hundred times over, and by the back half of a run the operator is either shorting the dose or stopping to shake out a cramp. The Breaze valve arrangement is aimed squarely at that: a silicone hi-flow valve in place of a heavy spring, which takes a good deal of the effort out of every pull. The gun holds 65 mL and the selector steps the dose in 2.5 mL increments, so a mixed-weight mob can be worked without setting the tool down and re-measuring. Product comes in through a draw-off tube from the container rather than a bottle mounted on the gun, which keeps the weight out of your hand and means you are not stopping to swap bottles at the rail. The cylinder comes off and the valves sit on the outside, so cleaning is a matter of pulling it apart and flushing it rather than trying to soak a sealed unit. Do that with warm water at the end of a run, dry it, and put applicator lubricant on the moving parts before it goes back in the box. Dose rate, product suitability and withdrawal are decisions for your veterinarian and the label on the container. The gun only puts out what you set it to, so check the setting against a measure before you start, and check it again if the tool has been sitting since last season.
