Details
Fifty metres of electrifiable poultry net standing 112 cm high, so about 164 feet long and 44 inches tall, with single-prong posts built into the roll. Poultry net has a much tighter mesh through the bottom than sheep net does, so chicks and smaller birds cannot simply walk through it. The 112 cm height is there for the other half of the job, which is keeping coyotes, foxes and loose dogs out. A properly hot poultry net is one of the few things that actually holds up against a coyote working a farmyard, and around Millet and the country either side of it that is not a hypothetical problem. Single prong steps in easily in soft or worked ground and keeps the roll manageable, which matters if you are moving birds onto fresh grass every few days. Orange is easy to pick out from the yard, so a section pushed over gets noticed. Watch the bottom strands: a poultry net grounding out in tall grass loses its punch fast, and a net with no power in it is only a suggestion to a coyote. Roll it up dry and store it off the ground.
