Clipper ClawCut PRO Serrated

Same tool family as the plain ClawCut PRO, but one jaw is serrated. The teeth hold the hoof wall so the cut does not slide off when you close the handles, which is worth a lot on an overgrown, curled foot that wants to squirt out of a smooth blade. It measures 20 cm overall, just under 8 inches, with a 5 cm cutting edge and a 10 cm handle, so it fits a gloved hand and works in close. The blades are heat-treated carbon steel, and that heat treatment is what lets it get through hard hoof horn rather than crushing it. If you only trim a few head a year the plain version is fine, but anyone tipping ewes through a whole flock in March usually reaches for the serrated one. Feet that have spent a winter on frozen, snow-packed ground grow hard and uneven, and the grip saves you resetting the cut two and three times on the same toe. Single-handed lock, light in the hand, and easy to clean and disinfect between animals.
