A 1 litre lamb bottle, just over a quart, with a screw-on nipple included. It is sized for lambs and kids rather than calves, so the bottle sits comfortably in your hand and the nipple actually fits their mouth. The screw fitting seals well and will not pop off when a hungry lamb yanks on it, which is the usual complaint with push-on nipples. It also comes off cleanly for washing, and the threads mean you can fit a replacement nipple when the first one gets chewed through. It will get chewed through eventually. Every flock ends up with bottle lambs. A triplet the ewe will not claim, a lamb off a ewe with a bad udder, an orphan after a hard lambing. Through a Prairie February those lambs need feeding several times a day in a cold barn, and having a proper bottle rather than a repurposed pop bottle makes the job faster and a good deal cleaner. Wash it hot after every feed and stand it upside down to drain, because sour milk residue is how bottle lambs get into trouble.
