The HSW Roux-Revolver is a repeating dosing syringe with a pistol grip and a 50 mL reservoir. The dose is adjustable from 1.0 to 5.0 mL per pull, and the tip is a Luer Lock fitting so the needle threads on and stays on. The point of a repeater is throughput. Fifty millilitres in the barrel means ten doses at 5 mL before you refill, and the trigger action lets you work one-handed while your other hand steadies the animal. Doing a whole pen one syringe-fill at a time is slow, and slow means more time in the chute for every animal that goes through it. The Luer Lock matters more than people give it credit for. A push-fit needle can come off in an animal; a threaded one does not. Set your dose before you start, check it on the first animal, and follow the product label and your vet's direction on what you are giving and what needle to use. Strip it down and clean it after every session, because dried product in the valves is what kills these. Spare parts are available rather than replacing the whole unit.
