A 57 cm replacement shaft, about 22 and a half inches, for the AniShock PRO handle. It is the flexible type, so it bends rather than snapping when it gets caught between an animal and a panel. Shafts are the part that breaks. The handle and the electronics generally outlive several of them, so being able to buy just the shaft instead of a whole new prodder is the sensible way to run one over the long haul. The shorter 57 cm length gives you a more compact tool overall, which is useful in a tight tub, a narrow alley, or working hogs, where a long shaft catches on everything on the way past. If you use a prodder regularly it is worth keeping a spare shaft on the shelf. They break at the wrong time, which is generally mid-morning with a full alley behind you and a truck already backed up to the chute. Check that you are ordering the length you actually want, because this is the short one. Store spares indoors as well. Plastic that has been sitting at thirty below is far easier to crack.
