Details
A roll of sticky flypaper, 25 cm wide and 10 m long, which works out to about 10 inches by 33 feet. You cut off what you need and hang it, or run a long strip right down a barn alley. There is no insecticide on it and no bait, just adhesive. Flies land on it and stay there. That makes it usable over a feed alley, in a milking area, in a horse barn or over a farrowing pen where you would rather not be spraying anything at all. It is also why there is nothing to handle carefully beyond not getting it stuck to yourself, which you will do at least once. Alberta gets a short and intense fly season, and a barn full of cattle in July is miserable for the animals and for whoever is working in there. Sticky rolls are a numbers game. Hang plenty of it, hang it early before the population builds, and replace strips once they are covered over. Put it where the flies actually gather, which is usually up high near lights and in still air, not out in the doorway where the breeze is.
