Details
A plain 110 volt charger for the Hot-Shot rechargeable battery pack that runs the red and green handles. Nothing complicated about it, and that is largely the point. It plugs into the wall in the barn or the shop and puts the pack back where it needs to be. The reason to own a spare is that chargers wander. They get borrowed, left at the far corrals, driven over, or they quietly disappear into another truck on the place. Having a second one, so there is a charger in the barn and a charger at the house, means the prod is ready on the morning you need it instead of the afternoon you finish. Keep it out of the wet and off the floor. Wall mount it if you can, or at least hang the cord rather than leaving it coiled where cats and calves can get at it. Look the cord over for chew marks and cracked insulation once in a while. If a pack will not take a charge on a known good charger, the pack has run its course.
