The T-Clip is the quick joiner for plain wire. It suits 1.8 to 3.25 mm plain wire, which is 15 to 10 gauge, and it also handles 2 x 15.5 gauge high tensile barbed wire. Gripple describes it as up to five times faster than knotting, and anybody who has tied a proper wire knot in a wind at minus ten will take that number at face value. It works on a twist and push action rather than the roller mechanism, which makes it usable in a tight spot where there is no room for a full swing with a pair of pliers. The finished joint sits neat and flat, and that matters on a horse fence or anywhere a knot with a tail sticking out is something for an animal to catch itself on. Twenty to a bag. Match the clip to the wire you are actually working with; a clip used outside its stated range is how a repair fails at the worst possible moment. Keep them in a pouch or a pocket rather than loose in a bucket where they vanish into the bottom, and pull the wire snug by hand before tensioning so the clip seats the way it should.
