Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means animals cannot make it and have to get it from what they eat. It is the one that most often runs short first in practical diets, and a liquid supplement is the straightforward way to add a measured amount without reformulating a whole ration. It mixes readily, it does not sit on top of feed and get sorted out, and it is easy to give a small accurate dose to an individual animal rather than treating a group. A hundred millilitres is a small bottle, so this is a product for a single animal or a short course rather than a herd program. If you need lysine at scale, talk to whoever balances your rations rather than buying supplements bottle by bottle. What it is used for, in which species, and at what dose all come from the label, and this is a case where reading it matters, because lysine supplementation gets recommended for several quite different reasons depending on the animal. Keep the cap on and store it out of direct sun and heat. If you are supplementing because an animal is unwell rather than because a ration is short, get the underlying problem looked at by your veterinarian first.
