The manufacturer describes it as its best seed mixture for growing grass in shade and lists a blend of fine fescue, ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass. Coverage and timing, as Scotts states them: a 1 kg bag covers up to 246 m2 (2,648 sq ft), and seeding is best done in spring or fall. How to sow, from the manufacturer's directions: prepare the area by removing debris and loosening the soil, apply the seed, then water thoroughly and keep the soil moist until the seedlings reach 5 cm in height.
