Details
Scotts Turf Builder Liquid Lawn Food 29-0-3 is a liquid lawn fertilizer made by Scotts Canada, applied through a garden hose with the sprayer attached to the bottle. The analysis printed on the product is 29-0-3. Scotts describes the ingredient as a "Urea-triazone solution that is a slow-release nitrogen source that feeds continuously for up to 8 weeks." Volume: 946 mL. What it is for, as Scotts describes it: established lawns. Scotts says it "is suitable for all established grass types, including Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue, and Ryegrass," and that the "2-in-1 formula feeds and waters your lawn at the same time." How much and how to use, from the manufacturer's directions: "One 946ml bottle of Scotts® Liquid Turf Builder® Lawn Food 29-0-3 covers up to 185 m² (2,000 sq ft). For optimal results, apply a quarter of the bottle (236.5ml) four times per year as part of a complete lawn feeding program." Scotts' steps: shake the bottle, connect the garden hose to the ready-to-use nozzle, turn on the water and begin at the farthest point of the lawn, working backward; slide the switch to "ON" and spray the lawn evenly, walking at a steady pace; then slide the switch to "OFF", turn off the water, release any pressure, disconnect the sprayer and store any remaining product. When to use, per Scotts: "when your grass is actively growing and air temperatures are consistently between 15°C and 30°C (60°F - 85°F)." If the lawn is dry, Scotts says to water it thoroughly about 24 hours before application, and to avoid applying if heavy rain is expected. Cautions quoted from Scotts: "The contents may cause eye irritation. If you do get some in your eyes, flush them with water as soon as possible." Keep it out of reach of children, and "overapplying might cause temporary browning in some spots. Stick to the recommended coverage." Storage and precautions are printed on the package; read them before use.
