Details
This is the rechargeable pack for a Hot-Shot DuraProd, sold on its own for outfits that already have the handle and a charger. It snaps on the same way the alkaline pack does, so swapping between the two takes seconds with gloves on. Miller reckons one rechargeable pack does the work of hundreds of alkaline batteries, and if you are on the prod regularly through weaning, shipping and the fall run, the arithmetic makes itself. It is also one less consumable to remember at the store, which counts for something when the nearest supplier is an hour down the road. Note that no charger comes with this pack. If you do not already have the charger base and adapters, the four-piece DuraProd rechargeable kit is what you want, since it bundles a pack together with the base and the 110-volt and 12-volt adapters. Charge it on a sound circuit and look the pack and its contacts over before each season, the same as any battery tool that winters in a cold shop.
