Hot-Shot DuraProd Motor (DX1)

Details

Despite the name, the DX1 is not a bare motor. It comes as a handle assembly with the motor and switch together, which is how it goes back into a Hot-Shot DuraProd. The prod case, the battery pack and the shaft are not part of it, so this is a repair part for a prod you already own. The unit is permanently sealed and maintenance-free, built to shrug off the dirt and moisture that finish off unsealed electrics in a corral. That is the whole argument for a modular prod: a good fiberglass shaft can outlast two or three motors, and there is no sense scrapping a sound shaft and case because the guts quit partway through a fall run. Worth working out which piece you actually need before ordering, since the DuraProd family splits into handle, motor, battery pack and shaft, and each is stocked on its own. If the prod is dead with a known-good battery pack on it, the motor assembly is usually the answer. If it works only intermittently when you flex things, look hard at the shaft first.
