Details
Smart Earth Camelina Oil gives horses what most rations are short on: easily digestible omega fatty acids, in a single-ingredient, cold-pressed oil. Smart Earth's equine product pages give the oil's omega-3 to omega-6 ratio as 1.2-1.6:1. It is the horses that struggle to hold weight, look dull or brittle through the coat, or have lost a step in their movement that tend to show the biggest change. Camelina oil is also highly palatable, so most picky eaters take to it without a fight. Suggested daily dosage, top-dressed on feed: • Small horse (600–800 lb): 1 oz / 30 mL • Average horse (800–1,200 lb): 2 oz / 60 mL • Large horse (1,200 lb+): 3 oz / 90 mL At 13.25 L, this pail covers roughly 220 days for one average 1,000 lb horse — or several months across a small string. A matching pail pump is sold separately. Grown, cold-pressed and bottled in Canada by Smart Earth Camelina of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Non-GMO, single ingredient, no heavy metals, and fully traceable from the field to the pail.
