Repeater syringes with plastic handles break at the lever, usually in cold weather and usually mid-run. This one is built with a metal handle and lever, which is most of the reason it survives being carried in a chute-side bucket rather than a drawer. The 25 mL model sets to 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mL, in fixed positions rather than on a sliding scale, so it stays where it was put. The barrel is UV-resistant poly, which matters for a gun that spends its life sitting in daylight, and the luer lock and nib are metal, with a patented ToughNut reinforcing the tip where these syringes usually crack. The blue O-ring supplied is the one compatible with oil-based products as well as aqueous ones. Three coloured knobs come in the box so a gun can be marked to a particular job. It works on a click, draw and squeeze action: click the button to the setting, draw fluid in, squeeze to deliver. Replacement parts are size-specific, and this is where orders go wrong. The 25 mL barrel and O-ring kit is part 268430 and the O-ring kit alone is 268431, five to a kit, and the 50 mL parts do not fit this gun.
