Details
A plastic Ramik rat snap trap from Neogen. Health Canada notes that "a rat trap is too large to kill a mouse", so this one is for rats. Health Canada's general guidelines for traps: "Most traps without covers should be set at right angles to the wall, with the baited end of the trap closest to the wall." and "Set 1 trap per metre (yard) along walls, or 5 to 10 traps per visible mouse hole." It adds: "It is important to check all types of traps daily." Follow the directions and cautions printed on the package. For how many traps to set, where to put them, what bait to use and how often to check them, see our guide Mouse and Rat Traps in Canada: Snap, Wood, Glue or Live-Catch?
