Ramik Mouse Maze is a pre-baited, disposable mouse bait station registered with Health Canada as a Domestic-class rodenticide, Pest Control Product Registration Number 23739, registrant Neogen Corporation. This is the two-pack: each station holds one 28 g solid bait block with the guarantee diphacinone 0.005%, a first-generation anticoagulant. The bait is sealed inside the station, so there is nothing to load and nothing to refill; when the block is gone the whole station is discarded. Where the label allows it, quoted: "USE INDOORS ONLY IN AREAS INACCESSIBLE TO CHILDREN AND PETS." "THIS BAIT STATION IS NOT TAMPER-RESISTANT." Directions from the label: "Place the RAMIK MOUSE MAZE indoors in locations where mice are most likely to find and consume the bait. Place the bait in concealed corners, along walls, where mice feed. Place at 1.5 to 3 m intervals where mice are active. Maintain an uninterrupted supply for a period of 15 days or more." The registration is for mice; it is not a rat bait. Use limitations, quoted: "DO NOT place bait in areas where there is a possibility of contaminating food or surfaces that come in contact with food. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT OUTDOORS OR IN AREAS ACCESSIBLE TO CHILDREN, PETS, DOMESTIC ANIMALS, OR NON-TARGET WILDLIFE." Precautions: "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, PETS AND LIVESTOCK. May be harmful or fatal if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Rubber gloves must be worn when handling product and when disposing of dead rodents, unconsumed bait and empty containers." "KEEP AWAY FROM FEED AND FOODSTUFFS. Keep out of lakes, streams or ponds." The label's toxicological note states that in humans, wildlife or domestic animals this material "may reduce the clotting ability of the blood and cause bleeding" and names vitamin K1 as the suggested remedial treatment; if poisoning is suspected, take the product container, label or product name and registration number with you when seeking medical attention. Storage and disposal, from the label: "Store in a cool, dry place away from other chemicals and food or feed. Store products not in use, in original container, in a secure location inaccessible to children and non-target animals." "Wrap used or damaged bait stations and discard in household garbage.
