Ramik/Havoc-XT/Terminator rodent bait station
General-purpose lockable rodent bait station that fits Ramik, Havoc-XT and Terminator baits — the everyday station for a yard line.
Details
A lockable rodent bait station built to take the common block and place-pack baits, including the Ramik, Havoc-XT and Terminator products. If you are running a bait line around a yard, this is the everyday unit: it locks against children and pets, it can be anchored so nothing carries it away, and it keeps rain, snow and dust off the bait. That last point does more work than people realise. Bait exposed to the weather goes mouldy, cakes, or picks up a smell rodents avoid, and an untouched station gets read as "the bait does not work" when the real problem is that the bait spoiled. A closed station keeps bait palatable for weeks. Most rodenticide labels in Canada require placement in a tamper-resistant station for the use patterns a farm needs, so this is a requirement rather than an accessory. Place it flush against a wall, at a building corner, along a fence line or at a burrow — somewhere rodents already travel. Rats in particular will not use a station standing in the open. Anchor it down, record where it is, and check it on a schedule. Buy stations generously and bait modestly. Stations are durable and last for years; bait is the consumable. A properly placed line of a dozen stations serviced every two weeks beats a pail of bait scattered around a yard, and it is the only version of the job that is both effective and lawful. Wear gloves when you service it and clear out old bait rather than topping up over it.
