Pre-measured 50 g place packs, thirty to the case. The whole idea is that you never touch the bait: the pack goes into a station or a burrow entrance as it is, and the rodents chew through the wrapper to get at what is inside. That makes servicing a station line faster and keeps bait off your hands and out of the dust of a feed alley. Place packs also handle the situation blocks are poor at — a void, a wall cavity, a burrow, a spot where you cannot anchor a rod. Rodents will also drag a pack back to a nest, which puts bait where you cannot reach. This is an anticoagulant rodenticide. Read the label for the registered sites, the tamper-resistant station requirement and the placement spacing, and follow it — the label is the legal instruction for use. The usual hazards apply, and one is specific to place packs: because rodents move them, a pack can end up somewhere you did not intend, including somewhere a dog can find it. Count what you put out, check what is left, and keep placements inside locked stations wherever the label allows for it. Keep the case sealed and locked away from feed. Collect dead rodents daily to protect the owls, hawks, foxes and barn cats that will eat them and take the anticoagulant with the meal. If a dog or cat eats a pack or a poisoned rodent, phone your veterinarian right away and bring the label. Vitamin K1 treats anticoagulant poisoning well when it is started early.
