Details
Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food Spikes are a slow-release fertilizer for houseplants in a 31 g tray, made by Scotts Canada. The fertilizer analysis stated by the manufacturer is 6-12-6, and Scotts describes the spikes as containing micronutrients formulated for houseplants and as feeding for up to two months. The tray includes a Miracle-Aerator spike for making the holes and a ruler on the edge of the card for measuring the pot. What it is for, as Scotts describes it: all indoor flowering and foliage houseplants, for continuous feeding. How to use, from the manufacturer's directions: make a hole in moist soil with the Miracle-Aerator spike, halfway between the plant stem and the pot rim. Place one plant food spike in each hole and press it down until it is covered by soil. Use the ruler on the edge of the card to measure the pot and determine the number of spikes needed. In spring and summer replace the spikes every 30 days; in fall and winter replace them every 60 days. Water the plants regularly as required. Scotts notes that its web page is not the product label and that the label must be read and followed before use; safety data sheets are published at scottsmsds.com. Storage and precautions are printed on the package. Where to buy: Pipestone Farm Supply lists Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food Spikes 6-12-6 31 g in Millet, Alberta (between Leduc and Wetaskiwin, south of Edmonton), with Canada-wide shipping and free in-store pickup.
