Details
The rubber stripper is the small part nobody thinks about until it is gone. It seats in the head of the plier around the characters and helps the ear come away cleanly as the jaws open, instead of hanging up on the points and tearing. They are consumable by design. Repeated squeezing, ink, paste and cleaning solvent all take a toll, and a stripper that has gone hard, split or fallen out will show up as ragged tattoos and animals flinching harder than they should. Ten in a pack is enough to keep a plier serviced for several seasons rather than ordering one at a time. This pack fits Ketchum model 50D and model 101 pliers. Change them before a big run rather than partway through it, and give the character seats a brush out at the same time. Five minutes on the shop bench in February beats stopping a crew at the chute in March.
